  1. Show overlaps when a user requests leave

    If a user requests leave, his superior receives a message to accept or reject the leave. Currently, they have to check the calendar view to see whether someone else in their team is already on holiday during this period. Solution: It would be better to write directly in the approval popup that there are overlaps with other users of the team in this period.

  2. The ability to change your absence markings without cancelling them

    I would like to see an option to change your absence markings without cancelling them. I.e. when you try to change (shift) your vacation, you have to cancel the whole thing and start over.

    We also use absentify to plan home office days and attendance days in the office. Here it would be helpful if it were possible to define attendances in addition to absence types (home office is not an absence) or to filter according to individual types.

  7. School Holidays marked in bar above week days

    We are a company with many employees with school kids. When we plan our holiday with absentify it would be usefull to see, when the school holidays in our country/state are starting and ending. It should work similar to the public holidays. maybe the days in the bar of the week days should be marked with school holiday when you choose for example germany / lower saxony in the settings. thanks

  9. Customizable text in OOO signatures

    Hi all, Our formatting for the mail signatures is different from the mail body formatting. It is smaller and has a different color. It would be really nice and would look more professional if the formatting of the out-of-office text could be edited. So the text would be standard formatting and our signature would be a different formatting. Directly in Outlook, this is possible. Unfortunately, today this is not possible with the absentify out-of-office integration. Thanks and best regards, Reto

  10. Leave types (without allowances) assigned to departments

    Currently, if a leave type is assigned to an allowance, only people with that allowance can see that leave type, which is good. It would also be great to be able to assign leave types without allowances to departments, so that only those departments could see them. This would reduce the number of leave types a user can select and only show the relevant options.

  11. Add filters to overview

    When working in a project with over 80 members it would be good if you could filter the members in the overview in different ways, like countries for example. Or create your own filters with different criteria. And then add some kind of mapping for the criteria to the user.

    Absentify currently offers only a global admin role and a basic distinction between "Manager" and "Member", which limits flexibility in large organizations. This feature would introduce a customizable role and permission system that allows organizations to define granular roles with specific access rights. For example, a sub-admin could manage approval workflows within a department but be restricted from modifying global settings like holiday calendars or absence quotas. Additionally, intermediate roles (e.g., key users) could be created to support decentralized administration, such as managing team settings or assisting with user support, without full admin privileges. All roles should be assignable and manageable via API to ensure seamless integration with HR systems and reduce manual effort. This enables scalable governance, supports key-user structures, and aligns with enterprise-level role management practices.

  14. Show comments when hovering over icon

    We have a lot of personnel who travel and it would be helpful to see where they are or are going to be when we hover over the "travelling for work" icon instead of having to open it up to view the comment.

  15. Cancellation of individual days

    It should be possible to cancel individual days of vacation (instead of just the whole vacation). This should also be possible for managers and admins for past holidays. One implementation idea would be to be able to choose between the entire vacation and individual days when canceling vacation, and then select these specifically.
